Remarks on result:
not determinable

Any other information on results incl. tables

LiPF6 hydrolyses readily in contact with water or moisture. With this reaction, the formation of a white fume (most likely hydrogen fluoride (HF)) occurred. Due to release of HF, the thermocouple of the system is not expected to give reliable temperature readings. Furthermore according to the safety phrases, the oven should be placed in a fumehood, which was technically not possible.

In conclusion, it was not possible to perform the study on the self-ignition temperature of the test substance.
