Description of key information

No bioaccumulation study is available for tripropylene glycol methyl ether, however the BCF was estimated using the EPIWin QSAR approach to 1.162.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
1.162

Additional information

The BCF was estimated with the EPIWIN developed by the U.S. EPA and Syracuse Research Corporation. According to REACH Annex VIII column 2, bioaccumulation testing can be waived for substances with a low potential for bioaccumulation (log Kow < 3). Tripropylene glycol methyl ether has a log Kow of 0.08 . Hence, bioaccumulation testing can be waived for tripropylene glycol methyl ether.
