Description of key information

The inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced in appropriate low concentrations.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The effects of the multi-constituent substance Tinuvin 292 on aquatic microorganisms were investigated in a short-term respiration test according to OECD guideline 209 using activated domestic sludge. Based on nominal concentrations an EC20 (180 min) ≥ 100 mg/L was determined [Ciba-Geigy 1988].
