Description of key information

If released to water, the multi-constituent substance is partly/moderately biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

To assess the potential of the multi-constituent substance Tinuvin 292 to biodegrade, results of a non-GLP study carried out with mixed sewage (from the secondary effluent of a sewage treatment plant, natural water and a suspension of garden soil) are available. The test procedures followed OECD guideline 301 E. Based on DOC removal a degradation rate of 38% after 28 days was reported in this test [Ciba-Geigy 1983].
