The acute aquatic toxicity of Crude 1,3 -dichloropropene was assessed in O.E.C.D. Test Guideline No. 201 and 202 studies with GLP compliance. The 72 hr static EC50 value for green algae was 8.3 mg/L (6.9 -9.75 mgL 95% Confidence Limits). The 48 hr static EC50 value for Daphnia magna was 2.8 mg/L (2.35 -3.34 mg/L 95% Confidence Limits). These data suggest that Crude 1,3 -dichloropropene is "toxic" to aquatic organisma.
