- Conclusions:
- Bis-MPA is a non-flammable solid.
- Executive summary:
In a study according to 67/548/EEC A.10, Bis-MPA was shown to be non-flammable.
Referenceopen allclose all
The substance melted but did not burn when applying the gas burner for two minutes. Only the preliminary test was performed.
As the preliminary test showed that Bis-MPA is not flammable, no further test was performed.
Description of key information
In a study according to 67/548/EEC A.10, Bis-MPA was shown to be non-flammable.
The substance is neither pyrophoric, nor emits flammable gasses in contact with water and therefore not be classified as flammable solid, pyrophoric solid or flammable in contat with water according to the CLP-regulation.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Flammability:
- not classified
Additional information
Justification for classification or non-classification
The test performed according to Test A10 of Annex V of 67/548/EEC showed that Bis-MPA is not flammable.
