Conclusion on classification

In the short-term aquatic toxicity tests conducted for 3 trophic levels (i.e. fish, invertebrates and algae), Guanidine phosphate (1:1) did not cause acute toxic effects at concentrations ≤1 mg/L (classification cut-off value is ≤1 mg/L). Concerning the long-term aquatic hazard, Guanidine phosphate (1:1) was not readily biodegradable and the log Kow was -3.48. In the algae growth inhibition test, the 72h-NOEC for growth rate reduction was 10 mg/L and the 72h-ErC50 was 110 mg/L. In accordance with the 2nd ATP of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) Guanidine phosphate (1:1) is not classified.
