Description of key information

The Guanidine ion is relevant for the environmental risks resulting from exposure to the substance. To determine whether the manufacture and use of the substance is safe for the environment, without the Koc of Guanidine, a dual worst case approach as explained in RIVM report: http://www.rivm.nl/bibliotheek/rapporten/601516013.pdf will be followed. The environmental risks will be determined by using a Koc value of 10 and by using a Koc value of 1000. These Koc values are determined by RIVM to be the worst case Koc values for the environmental risk assessment. RIVM concludes that in case this approach cannot show safe use, a Batch Equilibrium study is needed.
