All members of the category alkyl ether sulfates are readily biodegradable which is proved by several studies available for different mixtures (Danish EPA [1] & HERA [2]). Hence, the substances will be ultimately degraded under environmental conditions. Therefore, the potential of alkyl ether sulfates to persist in the environment is not given.
