Description of key information

The substance is poorly biodegradable and has to be regarded as persistent in the environment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Summing up the available experimental screening test data and calculated data (see IUCLID chapter 5.2.1), 1 -Vinylimidazole is concluded to bepoorly biodegradable and has to be regarded as persistent in the environment. These data are used considering data waiving according to EC no. 1907/2006 Annex XI section 1.

Therefore, no further tests on biodegradation simulation tests: “ultimate degradation in sediment and surface water” are performed.
