Additional information

A reliable 96h LC50 value of 1 mg/L has been determined for the effects of undecan-1 -ol on mortality of the fish Pimephales promelas. This study represent the lowest reliable experimental value available for this endpoint on undecan-1 -ol and has been chosen as key.

Another reliable short term toxicity tests with fish shows the LC50 value to be 4.6 mg/L, while an estimated LC50 is 1.7 mg/L.

No data are currently available with undecanol branched and linear (CAS 68603-15-6) for this endpoint. However data aer available with the closely related substance undecanol (CAS 112-42-5). It is possible to validly read-across data between the two substances, as outlined in the overall aquatic toxicity endpoint summary.
