Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 301 B (Ready Biodegradability: CO2 Evolution Test)
Deviations:
yes
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The volume of the test solution was reduced from 3.0 1 to 1.5 1. The CO2 formed by biodegradation was absorbed with NaOH and determined on a carbon analyzer. Due to the poor solubility of the test substance in water, an emulsifier was used to achieve a better distribution in the medium. The test substance was added directly into the medium without preparing a stock solution.
GLP compliance:
yes
