biodegradation in water: simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is readily biodegradable

Description of key information

In accordance with point and, Column 2, Annex IX of Regulation 1907/2006, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. As the substance has been determined to be readily biodegradable, testing for this endpoint is therefore not required as in these circumstances, the simulation test will provide little additional information since rapid mineralisation in the environment is already assumed.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
