Based on the data available and described in the following sections, the environmental fate and pathways of 11 -aminoundecanoic acid can be summarised as follows:

 

As the substance is soluble in water and has a low potential for adsorption, its main target environmental compartment will be the water compartment where it is no expected to persist due to its ready biodegradability potential.

 

Based on estimated data on its indirect photolysis in the air and regarding its low vapour pressure (2.07E-07Pa), estimated with EPISUITE, 11-aminoundecanoic acid is not expected to be persistent in the atmospheric compartment.

 

Based on its low log Kow value (i.e. - 0.16), the substance is not expected to have a potential for bioaccumulation.
