Executive summary:

The surface tension was determined with the ring method according to EC A.5 and OECD 115. The surface tension of a 0.045g/L solution of tin disulfide was 72.8 mN·m-1. The used concentration of tin disulfide is several orders of magnitude above the water solubility of the tin disulfide and therefore the results should be interpreted with care. However, since the undissolved material seems to have no effect on the surface tension which is close to the surface tension of water, this result is still considered acceptable.

The result is considered relevant and reliable for the further risk assessment.
