Additional information

One reliable study static GLP-compliant OECD 202 study with Daphnia magna is available for the short-term toxicity of TAEE to invertebrates (Brixham Environmental Laboratory, 2010a). The concentrations were analytically verified, the 48-h EC50 is 143.2 mg/l based on mean measured values.

Additionally, static GLP-compliant OECD 202 studies are available with Daphnia magna for the structurally related aliphatic ethers TAME and ETBE (see reporting format for the analogue approach as attached to the respective IUCLID entry). The concentrations were analytically verified, 48-h EC50 is >100 mg/l for TAME (Corning Hazleton, 1995b) and 110 mg/l for ETBE (SafePharm Laboratories, 2003a) based on nominal concentrations.
