The 96 hour LL50 is >1000mg/L WAF.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Eight acute fish toxicity studies are available for members of this category. The tests were conducted using Oncorhynchus mykiss and Cyprinodon variegatus. There does not appear to be any difference in sensitivity between the two test species. Due to the very low solubility of the test substances all the tests were conducted using Water Accommodated Fractions (WAF) or Oil Water Dispersions (OWD). WAF are the recommended method to test substances with low water solubility and are therefore favoured over the studies using OWD. However, all eight studies report that no effects were seen at the highest concentrations tested. We can therefore conclude that the 96 hour LL50 is >1000mg/L WAF.
