Additional information

From available data only qualitative estimation of environmental distribution could be performed. Based on the composition of the test substance Dust, steelmaking (a mixture of water-insoluble inorganic oxides) may be considered low releasing to air, water and soil. Environmental distribution may be made by wind which take dry fine powder away or by water which can partially dissolve some components. It is necessary to take account of atmospheric corrosion. Some inorganic oxides by air and moisture effect turn themselves into other substances and that may be dissolved and rinsed out. However, this process is very slow.
