Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance to be registered is Benzenesulfonic acid, di-C10-14-alkyl derivs. Read-across is based on the closest structural analogues for which high quality data were available, obtained through membership in the ATC TF-25 Consortium.
Read-across substances include the following: CAS # 70024-71-4, 61789-86-4, and 71486-79-8
The toxcity of the read-across substances has been measured experimentally with freshwater fish. Due to the extremely low water solubility all studies have been conducted using Water Accomodated Fractions and completed as limit tests.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Read-across substances include the following: CAS # 70024-71-4, 61789-86-4, and 71486-79-8

The LC50 in freshwater fish is considered to be >1000 mg/l and >10000 mg/l with marine species. The read-across substances are, therefore, considered not toxic to freshwater or marine fish species.
