In a biodegradation screening study performed with Glycerides, palm-oil mono-, hydrogenated, acetates (CAS No. 93572-32-8), 86.7% biodegradation after 28 days was observed. Based on this result, Glycerides, palm-oil mono-, hydrogenated, acetates is expected to be rapidly biodegraded in both aquatic and terrestrial environments. Thus, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex IX, Column 2, 9.2.1.2, 9.2.1.3 and 9.2.1.4, further testing on biodegradation of the substance in water, sediment and soil are not required.
