Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No experimental data evaluating the adsorption potential of Glycerides, C16-18 mono-, di- and tri- (CAS No. 91052-54-9) are available. Since the substance is a complex UVCB substance, QSAR estimations using the KOCWIN v2.00 program have been calculated for representative fatty acid components (C16 and C18 mono-, di- and triester). Log Koc values range from 2.5 (C16 monoester) to 14.2 (C18 triester)(López Parrón, 2011). The estimated log Kow values of the C16 and C18 diester and triester components (≥ 11) are outside the Kow range of the training set of the MCI method (-2.11-9.10), and therefore the obtained values should be taken with caution. The definite values may not be fully reliable but indicate a high adsorption potential. The values for the C16 and C18 monoester components obtained with the MCI method are reliable and within the applicability domain of the calculation method (log Koc 2.5 and 3.0 respectively).Generally, longer fatty acid C-chain lengths and higher degrees of esterification (diester and triester) are expected to show higher adsorption potential than shorter and monoester fatty acids, for which reliable values are available. Considering the estimated log Koc range for this substance, 2.5-14.2, high adsorption potential to solid organic particles cannot be excluded.
