Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Ready biodegradation = not readily biodegradable, OECD 301B, McLaughlin 2012

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The mean cumulative net percent CO2evolved (percent biodegradation) from the aqueous test medium fortified with the test substance at 10 mg C/L was 8.85% on day 28. The toxicity control on day 14 was 38.94%, which indicates that the test substance was not toxic to the inoculum in the test medium. Under the conditions of this study, based on the CO2 analysis results, the test material cannot be characterized as ‘readily biodegradable’ (does not achieve 60% or greater CO2 evolution within a 10-day window after exceeding 10% biodegradation).
