Additional information

SP-334 (2-(2-hexyl-decyloxy)-benzamide) is a non-volatile (vapour pressure, <1x10-6 Pa) and not readily biodegradable substance. Hydrolysis is not expected to be a relevant degradation pathway for this substance since it is highly insoluble in water (water solubility ≤ 0.006 mg/L). Based on the log Pow (7.38) and the estimated BCF values (191-2150 L/kg ww),SP-334exhibits a substantial potential for bioaccumulation in biota. The substance shows a tendency for adsorption to solid particles in view of the calculated log Koc values (4.84- > 5.122) and therefore, potential to be mainly distributed in the soil and sediment compartments if released into the environment.
