Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

This dossier and Chemical Safety Report contains a combined approach for addressing the required endpoints. The required endpoints are addressed using, when available, data on the multi-constituent substance to be registered. When these data are not available, or supporting data is required, calculated data based on the constituents identified in Section 1.2 (Section 1.1, Table 2 of the Chemical Safety Report) of the registered substance are used to address the required endpoints.

Appearance/physical state/colour:

The test material is a dark brown solid substance.

Melting point:

Key Study:

In a study conducted according to OECD 102, under GLP conditions, the melting point is =51°C -=69°C at 101,325 Pa.

Boiling point:

Key Study:

In a study conducted to OECD 103, under GLP conditions, the boiling point is ca. 284 ºC at 101. 325 Pa.

Relative density:

Key Study:

In a study conducted according to OECD 109, under GLP conditions, the relative density of is 1030 kg/m3 at 20 ºC.

Particle size distribution:

According to 7.14 Column 2 Annex VII of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), the granulometry (particle size) of a substance does not need to be conducted if the substance is marketed, or used, in the EU in a non solid or granular form. The test material is a solid waxy block at room temperature, therefore, due to the physical nature of the test material, the particle size distribution could not be completed to the procedures designed to be compatible with the European Commission Technical Guidance Document EUR 20268 'Determination of Particle Size Distribution, Fibre Length and Diameter Distribution of chemical substances (2002). This endpoint is waived.

Vapour pressure:

Key Study:

In a study conducted according to OECD 109, under GLP conditions, the vapour pressure is 0.004 Pa at 25 ºC.

Partition coefficient:

Key study:

In a study conducted according to OECD 117, under GLP conditions, the partition coefficient range is Pow less than 2 to 203; log10Pow less than 0.3 to 2.31.

Water solubility:

Key Study:

The water solubility is less than 0.162 mg/L.

Surface tension:

A surface tension study does not need to be conducted if the water solubility of the substance is less than 1 mg/L, endpoint waived.

Auto flammability:

Key Study:

The auto-ignition is 240 ± 5°C.

Flammability:

Key Study:

The flammability of the test material was assessed and was classified to be not highly flammable, as it did not propagate combustion over the 200 mm of the preliminary screening test.

Stability:

According to Column 1 of Annex IX of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) legislation, stability in organic solvents and identity of relevant degradation products study does not need to be conducted if the substance stability is not considered critical. The stability is not a concern, therefore this endpoint has been waived.

Dissociation constant:

The dissociation constant could not be completed due to the very low water solubility.

Viscosity:

The test material is a solid (dark brown solid block) at room temperature; therefore a viscosity study is not appropriate and this endpoint is waived
