Description of key information

- Non flammable upon ignition
- The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases on contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

- Upon ignition the test item melted, creating a waxy coating over the surface of the burn plate, but did not ignite.

- Based on chemical structure of test substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected

Justification for classification or non-classification

- Upon ignition the test item melted, creating a waxy coating over the surface of the burn plate, but did not ignite.

- Based on chemical structure and experience in handling and use of substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

The evaluation of flash point for flammability of a liquid is based on the set criteria for C&L as outline in the Annex VI to Directive 67/548/EEC and in the GHS the 4th revised edition, UN 2011.

The theoretical assessments of Pyrophoricity and Flammability on contact with water are based on section R.7.1.10 of Guidance chapter R.7a of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.

It can be concluded that the substance is not considered to be classified as a flammable material
