Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There are no toxicokinetic studies available for this chemical. However, based on its physicochemical properties and results from other toxicological studies with this test substance the following assessment can be made:

The observed clinical effects and the LD50 values after oral and dermal application of 78.5 and 1630 mg/kg in rats imply that systemic availability of the test substance is given by this exposure routes. That oral absorption takes place is supported by the results of a 28-day repeated dose toxicity study with oral application (gavage) in rats that showed signs of systemic toxicity at 10 mg/kg/d in females. Furthermore, based on the measured partition coefficient log Pow of 2.4 (at 23°C and at pH=6.4) the substance is not expected to accumulate in organisms (low bioaccumulation potential).
