The test substance is considered to be with high probability not harmful to aquatic organisms. The inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced in appropriate low concentrations.

Acute and chronic toxicity tests on all three trophic levels were conducted in order to investigate the hazard potential of the test substance to aquatic organisms. The measured LC/EC50 values for fish, invertebrates, microorganisms and algae were determined to be higher than 100 mg/L and the lowest NOEC value (fish) was 10 mg/L.
