flask method
Water solubility:
>= 21 - <= 24 mg/L
Temp.:
30 °C
pH:
>= 5.6 - < 8
Remarks on result:
other: the decrease of the pH solution after 24 h (from pH=8 to pH=5.6) is a strong indicator of the unstability of the substance
Details on results:
Because of the unstability of the tested substance after 24h, the water solubility study has been conducted on the 24h solution.
Using the flask method, the water solubility of the tested substance is 21 mg/l

Stability study :

The stability study of the tested substance in water is exposed in the 5.1 endpoint (hydrolysis). The study indicates that the substance degrades in a significant way beyond 24 hours, the solution becoming clouded. This degradation is certainly due to the formation of phosphorous acid by-products which can explain the reduction of the pH over time. The substance is stable during 24h in water under stirring with a concentration of 100mg/100ml. Thus, the water solubility study has to be conducted on the 24h solution.

Solubility Study :

The preliminary assays show that the solubility of the tested substance is < 1g/L.
