Description of key information

Data are read-across to D-Glucopyranose, oligometric, C10-16-alkyl glycosides (CAS: 110615-47-9). The test substance is hydrolytically stable at pH 4, 7 and 9 (50 °C).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No hydrolysis of the test item can be observed after 5 days incubation at 50 °C for the category member D-Glucopyranose, oligometric, C10-16-alkyl glycosides (CAS: 110615-47-9). Recovery rate after 5 days is approximately 100% (Frischmann, 2010). Thus, according to Annex 1 "Tiered Hydrolysis test scheme" of OECD method 111 no further hydrolysis test is required and the test item is considered to be hydrolytically stable. Based on the category approach it can be concluded that hexyl D-glucoside (CAS: 54549-24-5) is hydrolytically stable as well.
