Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Two guideline-conform ready biodegradability studies were being conducted. The valid Manometric Respirometry test according to OECD TG 301-F shows that the substance is readily biodegradable fulfilling the 10-day window. In a second study according to EU-Method C.4-E biodegradation above 60% was observed, but the 10-day window was failed. Since there is a positive result in one valid study, allyl hexanoate can be considered as readily biodegradable and is expected to undergo rapid biodegradation and to be non-persistent in the aquatic environment.
