Description of key information
Lactic acid is readily biodegradable; therefore, according to REACH Annex IX, column 2, points 9.2.1.3 and 9.2.3, simulation testing in soil is not required. Moreover, lactic acid is actively produced (and metabolized) by a multitude of soil (micro)organisms.
