Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Key value (from a Handbook referenced in the ECHA guidance R7a as a reliable source) of relative density: 1.064
Supporting value (from a international recognized organisation (NIOSH)) of relative density: 1.06
Supporting values (from secondary data sources without any references) of density: 1.0727g/cm3 (at 18°C), 1.0659 g/cm3 +/- 0.012 (mean value of 5 data at 20°C), 1.062 g/cm3 (at 22°C), 1.06 g/cm3 +/- 0.004 (mean value of 3 data at 25°C), 1.07 g/cm3 at 20°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.064

Additional information

Two data of relative density were extracted from relevant references (handbook and database): 1.064 at 20°C and 1.06. The first value was chosen as key study because of the relevant information are provided especially the temperature at which the relative density was determined. The second was considered as supporting study as no value of temperature was specified.

Others values of density for the test substance were available. These values come from secondary data sources without any reference but they confirmed the key value from the key study.
