There is no experimental data about terrestrial toxicity of DIPN.
The need for investigations into DIPN effects on terrestrial life including birds has been waived, since direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment and birds to DIPN is expected to be unlikely due to its application profile. Moreover, the large database that is available on mammalian toxicity provides sufficient evidence of little toxicity of DIPN to higher organisms including birds.
