Temp.:
20 °C

1st sample: ρ = 1.062 g/mL

2nd sample: ρ = 1.062 g/mL

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the study, the density of hexenyl-3-cis salicylate was determined to be 1.062 g/mL at 20°C (relative density: 1.062).
Executive summary:

In a GLP-compliant density study conducted in line with OECD 109, EU Method A.3 and to EPA OPPTS 830.7300, the density of hexenyl-3-cis salicylate was determined using the oscillating densitimeter method. The density of the substance was determined to be 1.062 g/mL at 20°C (relative density 1.062).

Description of key information

Density was determined to be 1.062 g/mL at 20°C; study conducted in accordance with OECD 109, EU A.3, EPA OPPTS 830.7300; Pacella (2011b)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a GLP-compliant density study conducted in line with standardised guidelines, the density of (z)-3-hexenyl salicylate was determined using the oscillating densitimeter method. The density of the substance was determined to be 1.062 g/mL at 20°C (relative density 1.062). As the study was performed to GLP and standardised guidelines, it was allocated a reliability score of 1 and considered to be the key study.

Supporting information is presented as company product specification and a Safety Data Sheet allocated reliability scores of 4. The density is reported to be 1.058-1.068 g/mL and 1.059 g/cm2.
