Additional information

In analogy to the NTA acid the long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates was investigated with the salt Na3NTA.

Arthur et al (1974) reports a 147 d NOEC of 9.3 mg/L for survival for Gammarus pseudolimnaeus. The study was performed by exposing the amphipods for 147 d. Mortality and reproduction were assessed. Additionally a long-term toxicity study with the mollusc Helisoma trivolis is available [Flannagan, 1974]. In this study under flow through conditions the NOEC was determined to be 12.5 mg/L.
