Sampling and analysis

Analytical monitoring:
yes
Details on sampling:
- Concentrations: the stock solution was prepared by dissolving 100 mg of the test substance directly per litre of LC reconstituted water. Test solutions were prepared by further dilution of the stock solution with water to provide a geometric series of concontrations: 0, 1, 10 and 100 mg/l
- Sampling method and Sample storage conditions before analysis:
At T0 hours, 4 ml samples were taken from each test solution container and frozen at -20°C.
At T72 hours, 1.5 ml samples were taken from all 3 test replicates at each concentration, pooled and frozen. At the same time, 1 ml was taken from each of the controls and the samples pooled and frozen.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Remarks:
test substance concentrations remain > 78 % of the nominal concentration throughout the test
Conclusions:
Under our laboratory conditions, the test substance, 852 DIESTER, was toxic to Scenedesmus subspicatus in a static test at 100 mg/l but non-toxic at 1 and 10 mg/l.
The NOEC is calculated to be 10 mg/l

852 DIESTER should not be classified.
