Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

No conclusion can be reached based on the available information with respect to “P/vP” criterion. The substance does not meet the screening criterion for “B/vB” properties – log Kow (3.98) < 4,5.

The substance does not meet the toxicity “T” criterion as it is not classified as carcinogenic (category 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (category 1A or 1B), or toxic for reproduction (category 1A, 1B or 2) according to CLP Regulation and there is no other evidence of chronic toxicity - specific target organ toxicity after repeated exposure (STOT RE category 1 or 2) according to CLP Regulation.

The substance does not pose PBT/vPvB concerns because the criteria for “B/vB” and “T” are not met.

Likely routes of exposure:

Ethyl centralite has a solubility 40.5 mg/L in water and should initially be found in the water. However, due to its solubility in organic compounds, Ethyl centralite could be moderate adsorbed into sediments.
