Additional information

Toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods

The no observed effect level (NOEL) of clioquinol in soil macroorganism [Lumbricidae (worms)] in a 168 hr study on population effect was estimated to be 7.45 AI kg/ha.

Toxicity to terrestrial arthropods

The lethal concentration (LC50) value of clioquinol in terrestrial arthropods (Tetranychus urticae) in a 48 hr study on the basis of mortality effect was estimated to be 747.8579 ppm.

Toxicity to terrestrial plants

The lowest observed effect concentration (LOEC) value of clioquinol in terrestrial plants (Raphanus sativus) in a 672 hr study on the basis of growth effect was estimated to be 1.268256 mg/L.

Toxicity to soil microorganisms

The effective concentration (EC50) value of clioquinol in soil microorganisms (Botrytis cinerea) in a 24 hr study on the basis of morphology effect was estimated to be 9.081329 mg/L.

Toxicity to birds

No information on toxicity to birds available. Toxicity to birds is not a standard information requirement in Annex IX. Moreover, as the substance is not toxic to mammals (not classified for toxicity) no further toxicity testing on birds is proposed.

Toxicity to other above-ground organisms

No experimental data in addition to those presented under CSR Chapter 5 is available. This is not a standard information requirement for environment in REACH.
