Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No data are available for the toxicity assessment of the test substance to terrestrial organisms. However, the components of the substance have a low potential for adsorption to soil particles (log Koc lower than 3) and it has no bioaccumulative properties (log Kow lower than 3). Additionally, no harmful effects were observable in aquatic toxicity tests on all three trophic levels at concentrations below or equal 100 mg/L. This indicates a low hazardous potential of the test substance towards soil organisms. Based on these data, binding to sewage sludge is unlikely and as a consequence a transfer to the soil compartment is not expected. Therefore, the risk to soil organisms is considered negligible and no tests on terrestrial organisms are provided.
