Description of key information

Based on chemical structure (molecule is organic, contains oxygen that are NOT bonded to nitrogen or oxygen), D-Menthol is predicted incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials.
As a consequence and according to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, 7.13, Column 2, testing for oxidising properties is considered unnecessary.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on chemical structure (molecule is organic, contains oxygen that are NOT bonded to nitrogen or oxygen), D-Menthol is predicted incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials.

As a consequence and according to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, 7.13, Column 2, testing for oxidising properties is considered unnecessary.

Based on this waiving the substance does not need to be classified.
