Phototransformation

After evaporation or exposure to air, the substance will be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes.

According to Kollig et al. (1993) and Boethling & Mackay (2000) the structure of the test substance does not contain any functional groups sensitive to hydrolysis. In addition the substance is inherently biodegradable (BASF SE, 2012; 29G0790/11G137).

Biodegradation

2 -[2-(3 -aminopropoxy)ethoxy]ethanol (CAS 112 -33 -4) is not readily, but inherently biodegradable (BASF SE, 2012).

Accumulation in organisms is not to be expected.
