After storage for one day at – 20 °C, the test item was still liquid. In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) no main study was conducted.

Conclusions:
The freezing point of Aldehyde M was determined to be <-20 °C at 1013 hPa.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to OECD TG 102, Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.1 and OPPTS 830.7200 to determine the freezing point of Aldehyde M. In a pre-test the test item was filled into vessels and stored at 5 °C, -20 °C and -80 °C. The test item was liquid as -20 °C. After storage for one day at -20 °C no change in the physical state was observed. Therefore, in accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 no main study was conducted. No observations were made which might cause doubts on the validity of the study out-come. Therefore, the result of the study is considered valid. The freezing point was stated as <-20 °C at 1013 hPa.
