Description of key information

A weight-of-evidence approach was used to address this endpoint.  Values obtained from 8 separate sources varied from 3.2 - 4 gm/cm3.

Additional information

This assessment relates to the main component, aluminium oxide, and the assessment of the reaction mass based upon its main component can be considered as a worst case approach. Generic issues relating to inorganic substances can be considered as appropriate for all other components within the reaction mass.

All available data sources agree that the density of aluminum oxide is on average approx. 4 gm/cm3.
