Three tests were performed, each in triplicate, varying the amount of lactic acid solution that was introduced into the auto-ignition chamber. The reported auto-ignition temperature is the lowest temperature at which auto-ignition was recorded (rounded).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature of a 93% aqueous solution of lactic acid is 400 degrees C. The auto-ignition temperature of an aqueous solution of calcium lactate will not be lower.
Executive summary:

Commercially available auto-ignition temperatures apparatus was used for the determination of the degree of auto-ignitability of Latic Acid 93% aq. The test substance is auto-ignitable with an auto-ignition temperature at 1011.4 -1018.9 hPa of 400°C. The auto-ignition temperature of an aqueous solution of calcium lactate will not be lower.
