Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water does not need to be conducted as Cashew Nutshell Extract, Decarboxylated, (Technical Grade) was found to be potentially ultimately biodegradable in a robust OECD Guideline 310 (Ready Biodegradability - CO2 in Sealed Vessels (Headspace Test). The study indicated that 69.3% of the test substance was degraded within 28 days.

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, sediment simulation testing (for substances with a high potential for adsorption to sediment) does not need to be conducted as Cashew Nutshell Extract, Decarboxylated, (Technical Grade) was found to be ultimately biodegradable in a robust OECD Guideline 310 (Ready Biodegradability - CO2 in Sealed Vessels (Headspace Test). The study indicated that 69.3% of the test substance was degraded within 28 days.
