The test substance was inflammable within 2 min by the hot flame of a gas burner but did not spread out over a distance of 200 mm within 4 min. The structurally similar substance DDAC (CAS No. 7173-51-5), was inflammable within 2 min by the hot flame of a gas burner but did not spread out over a distance of 200 mm within 4 min (Schulze M, 2007). Thus, the test substance, C12 -18 DAQ does not need to be classified as highly flammable.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on the results from the read across study, the test substance does not warrant a classification for flammability according to EU CLP criteria (Regulation EC 1272/2008).
