Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A GLP compliant study was performed to assess the acute toxicity test item to the freshwater invertebrate Daphnia magna. The method followed was designed to be compatible with the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals (2004) No. 202, and EU Method C.2. Daphnia were exposed under semi-static conditions to the substance at nominal concentrations of 1.0, 3.2, 10, 32, or 100 mg/L. The test item was renewed with fresh medium at 24-hours. The test was performed with 5 daphnia per vessel.  For each concentration, the percentage of immobilisation at 24-hours and 48-hours was recorded, and test concentrations were confirmed by HPLC analysis.

The test met the validity criteria for OECD Guideline 202 as less than 10% of the control daphnids were immobile and the dissolved oxygen concentration was greater than 3 mg/L. After 48 hours the NOEC was 7.9 mg/L, the LOEC was 25 mg/L and the EC50 was 14 mg/L (TWA).
