Description of key information

The half-lifes of the test substance at pH 4 and pH 9 were determined to be:
- at 20 °C: 962 h (pH4) and 65380 h (pH9).
- at 25 °C: 607 h (pH4) and 28909 h (pH9).
At pH 7 less than 10 % of the test item was hydrolysed after 5 days at 50°C (t1/2 > 1 year at 25°C)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
607 h
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The abiotic degradation of the test item was evaluated via the determination of the hydrolysis rate as a function of the pH-value, according to EU-method C.7 and OECD test guideline OECD 111. At pH 7 less than 10 % of the test item was hydrolysed after 5 days at 50°C (t1/2 > 1 year at 25°C). The half-lifes of the test substance at pH 4 and pH 9 were determined to be: - at 20 °C: 962 h (pH4) and 65380 h (pH9). - at 25 °C: 607 h (pH4) and 28909 h (pH9). Thus the test substance is considered to be hydrolytically stable.
