Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The determination of the melting range of 400160 was conducted according to OECD GL 102 and EU A.1 under GLP compliance.
The melting range was -44.5°C to -32.3°C under atmospheric pressure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the nature of the test item a melting range and not a specific melting point was determined.

A pre-test was performed to determine the test range. Therefore, the main test was started at -80°C and the aluminium block with the capillary tube filled with test item was warmed to room temperature until melting started. The temperature was noted at which the first signs of melting of the test item could be observed. When the substance was completely melted, the temperature was noted again.

The mean value of the melting range was -44.5°C to -32.3°C at atmospheric pressure.
