Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Materials and methods

Principles of method if other than guideline:
Groups of 5 male and 5 female rats per dose were exposed to atmospheres containing either 3.16 or 3.60 mg/l test material for 4 hours. Air concentrations were generated using a ferris wheel generator to create a dust and passing clean air through the generator at 30 l/min to an 80 l glass and steel chamber containing the animals. Particle size means were calculated. Rats were held for 14 days for observation, then sacrificed and necropsied. Physical signs were recorded.
